Asst. Prof. Dr. Hanna Stakheyeva

Dr. Hanna Stakheyeva is an Assistant Professor at the Bogazici University since April 2016. She has been teaching International Business Law, Intellectual Property and Competition, and Business Communications at the Department of International Trade. Hanna conducts research into competition law matters with a particular focus on the EU, Ukraine and Turkey. She has numerous publications both in academic and business journals.

Prior to joining the Bogazici University, Hanna worked as a competition lawyer at Baker & McKenzie (Kyiv, Ukraine) and King & Wood Mallesons (Brussels, Belgium). She has been a visiting lecturer at the annual summer school on M&A organized by ELSA in collaboration with ACTECON (Istanbul, Turkey).

Hanna graduated from the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University (B.L and Ph.D. in International law) and University of Amsterdam (LL.M in European Business law). She also holds International Baccalaureate diploma from the UWC “Atlantic” (Wales, UK). Hanna is a member of the Bar (Advokatura) of Ukraine and the Academic Society for Competition Law. Hanna is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian and English with a basic knowledge of Turkish and French. Interested in all sorts of international projects, including in collaboration with NGO's/research centers/charities.
